Welcome to Day 4 of our journey to scaling your coaching business.
Today, we're diving into Step #4: Developing Your "Create-a-Client" Protocol. This training is similar to Day 2's pre-buy experience because it's so important to get right.
The Pitfall.
Wasting time on ineffective social media strategies.
Many coaches fall into the trap of endlessly creating content for social media, hoping it will magically bring in a flood of high-ticket clients.
But here's the hard truth: posting on LinkedIn or Instagram alone isn't a strategy. It's a tactic, and often takes a long time to bloom into a full flower.
Let's break down how to create clients.
The "Create a Client" Protocol: Instead of waiting for clients to come to you, learn to create them. This involves bringing potential clients into a high-caliber training environment where they can experience your coaching firsthand. For example, if you're a career coach, you could create the following virtual mastermind: "You've heard 'the resume is dead:' but that's until you learn my 2024 Viral Networking Effect." Then, in the workshop, breakdown why this commonly held advice is so wrong. From there, integrate your teaching as a preview of your overall program. When your virtual mastermind concludes, invite attendees to continue the experience with you in your core program.
Quality Over Quantity: When you utilize this method, you don't need hundreds of leads. You need small, targeted leads. Focus on getting 20 qualified leads per month. You can do this by inviting people to your free or paid workshop. If you do a paid workshop and struggle to get people to attend, then invite them to attend with a discount or 100% free code. This act alone builds so much trust and goodwill. Note: If you got 20 leads per month into a virtual masterclass, that’s 240 people per year. With a $10K offer, converting only 10% (24 total people per year) gives you a $240K coaching business. Imagine how much your life changes when that 10% conversion becomes 20%.
A Step Deeper on the Virtual Master Class: Let's rehash an element I keep talking about (because it's a total difference maker for me and it can be for you too): Create training that is counter-intuitive because it shows how you’re different and it causes attendees to think deeply. For example, common advice on LinkedIn is to create a “DIY (Do it Yourself) or a DFY (Done for You) service.” In my events, I breakdown why this advice is flawed and then I show people my method that surpassed a $90K month.
Another Step Deeper on the Virtual Master Class: Ask questions that cause people to reflect on probability, NOT possibility. This is my favorite psychological hack. Possibility sounds like this and is least effective: “If you solved your problem, how would your life be different?” But probability sounds like this and is far more effective: "When you close the gaps, how will your life be different?”
Remember, the goal of your “Create-a-Client” system isn't just to get more followers or likes.
It's to create a consistent experience, in a highly-focused environment, that gets people to reflect on “probability...”
Such as, the high probably of achieving what they want by embracing your pathway to the transformation.
